Crawford Screened Porch & New Deck – Mohnton, PA – AWARD WINNING PROJECT
- Porch/Deck – Wood-framed screened porch/deck built on a Techno Post foundation; Screeneze screening system to allow for large-spaced openings
- Decking – Timbertech composite decking/skirting & rim board in Mahogany color
- Railing – Keylink aluminum railing in gloss white
- Porch Trim – Azek PVC trim around porch posts and knee wall
The large existing deck on this home was old and falling apart. The homeowners wanted to add a new screened porch to go along with a new deck area. Eby Exteriors helped the design a beautiful porch with a vaulted ceiling and adjoining deck area. The design required some special thinking to create an attractive-looking roof while also keeping it below the 2nd-floor window above the porch. We also extended the deck area toward the driveway and built new stairs to access the deck and porch. Finally we took special care to match the new siding and roof shingles on the porch to the existing house. This allows for the new porch to blend seamlessly into the house and look like it’s been there since the house was built. The new deck and room are supported by a Techno-Metal Post foundation, which provides outstanding strength and durability without the need for digging and large-scale disruption to the lawn/landscape
