Porch & Door – Millersville, PA – AWARD WINNING PROJECT
- Porch – wood-frame with Azek PVC trim (painted)
- Porch ceiling – Certainteed vinyl beaded soffit in white
- Porch columns – HB&G 8″ round tapered (painted)
- New recessed lighting in porch ceiling
- Front Door – ThermaTru fiberglass with/mahogany woodgrain (stained finish) with oil-rubbed bronze hardware and hinges – Fypon door header and fluted pilasters (painted)
- New Mid-America shutters – Black
- New HB&G lamp post (painted)
Our client felt that the front of her home had a rather drab look and wanted to update its’ appearance, particularly by adding more “definition.” She also wanted her guests to have some protection from bad weather as they were entering her house. She had seen a similar porch in another neighborhood so we based our design on that, but modified it somewhat to better suit our client’s home. We worked closely with the client to find just the right front-entry door because she had clear ideas of the style, color, and woodgrain that she wanted. We were able to find the right solution in a stained fiberglass unit.
As part of the project we also installed brand new shutters and added a new lamp post.
