Historic Mayer Mansion Restoration – Lancaster, PA

  • Windows – Marvin Signature, extruded aluminum exterior (wood exterior on some) in white with bare pine interior
  • Porch Floor – Wolf PVC tongue & groove in Harbor Grey color
  • Structure – new porch floor built with pressure-treated wood on newly re-built piers

Eby Exteriors, Inc. was selected for the extensive exterior renovations to the historic Mayer Mansion in Lancaster, PA. The Mayer Hess Mansion was built between 1857 and 1874 and may soon be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our part of this project included painting, restoring woodworking, repairing masonry, total rebuild of the large front porch, and 63 units of replacement window installation

  • Demolish small rear framed additions
  • Paint entire building
  • Repair sections of masonry at multiple locations
  • Repair wood window trim and decorative trim at multiple locations
  • Remove existing wood shutters, repair as necessary, paint, re-install
  • Stain main front entry door
  • Install new foundations for porch posts to meet current code
  • Re-frame entire porch floor and ceiling to meet current building codes
  • Repair porch posts as necessary and fabricate new posts as necessary
  • New Wolf PVC tongue & groove porch flooring
  • New Marvin Signature wood replacement windows
