Why I Joined the Ames Construction Family

As Founder and Owner of Eby Exteriors Inc I’d like to announce that in December of 2019 I sold the business to Ames Construction Inc of Ephrata. I couldn’t be more pleased with this transaction and believe that it will be a very positive step for Eby Exteriors and our employees. Even more importantly I’m confident that it will allow Eby Exteriors to serve you, our clients and future clients, better than we ever have! (More to come on that.)

I’m extremely grateful to all of you who have given us the privilege of working for you over the last 20+ years! From the smallest service job to complete exterior makeovers and everything in between, it’s been very gratifying to help you stop that leak, improve your energy efficiency with new windows and doors, or create eye-catching curb appeal with new siding. For us it never gets old being a part of those improvements.

I also want to thank Ames Construction for bringing us into their family of companies, which includes Nauman Commercial Cabinetry of Lancaster. Ames has been in business since 1974 and their services include commercial construction and renovation as well as commercial HVAC and plumbing services. Their commitment to treating their people well and performing top-notch work with integrity makes them a great fit for Eby Exteriors.

As far as how all of this relates to you, Eby Exteriors will remain Eby Exteriors. We’ve been instructed to “Keep doin’ what we’re doin’” and we plan to. Many of you have had the pleasure of working with Joel Zeiset over the last 16 years, and while he will continue to do sales, he will also be moving into a General Manager role. Tim and Linda will remain as our first-rate office staff and all of our terrific installers are staying on board. And no worries, all of your warranties remain in effect. So I’m truly confident that the ability of our experienced team to serve you will only be bolstered by the addition of the construction experience, business acumen, and positive backing of our new owners!

As for me, I’m remaining with Eby Exteriors for the next few months as I transition into a new role as Director of Business Development for Ames Construction. That role will also involve the responsibility of continuing to promote the great work that Eby Exteriors is doing. So while I won’t be involved in the day to day operations of Eby Exteriors, I will remain connected and committed to its success and to positive outcomes for our clients. Beyond that, in my new role I’d love to have the opportunity to talk to any of you who may have needs related to commercial construction, cabinetry, or HVAC plumbing and service. There is an experienced team in place at Ames that may be a great fit for your project.

So let me say thanks again to all of you who have used Eby Exteriors services over the years. We look forward to continuing that relationship.
