Meet the Eby Exteriors Home Remodeling Crew!

Phil Eby – President

Phil is the founder of Eby Exteriors Inc. He started the business in 1997, working by himself, and over the years grew the company by adding good employees and trade partners. “I’m very selective about who I bring on because these people represent me and my name. They’ve got to be people who are trustworthy and care about what they do!” While Phil doesn’t often work in the field anymore, he is not a stranger to the jobsite. He visits our jobs in progress on a regular basis, connecting with the clients and overseeing the progress and quality of the jobs.

“I find a lot of satisfaction in seeing older homes transformed into beautiful homes that the owners can be proud of. While providing water tightness and energy efficiency are a big deal, and we do those things well, it’s also important that the home is a place that looks great. We want our clients to enjoy our work for many years after we’ve finished! That’s why we’re always on the lookout for attractive, quality products so we can present each client with the best possible product, considering both performance and aesthetics, in their price range.”

Phil’s hobbies include golfing, hunting, and following Philly sports teams. He is actively involved at Good Shepherd Community Church in Reamstown and is an Associate Director on the Board at the Home Builders Association of Lancaster, PA. Phil has been married to Crystal Eby since 1995 and they live in Ephrata with their 2 girls, Madeline and Erin.

Joel Zeiset – Sales

Joel has been with the company since 2003. He started out working on the installation crew and has experience with all of the services we offer. Joel’s experience in the field gives him an edge as a salesperson. He fully understands our construction processes. This enables him to prepare accurate, detailed proposals and also helps him communicate clearly with our potential clients.

Joel is a graduate of Millersville University and lives in Ephrata with his wife Anita, (also our administrative assistant – see below), their daughter Ariana, and son Derek.  He enjoys golf, reading, and spending time with his family.

Anita Zeiset – Administrative Assistant

Anita began her time with us in 2009. Her duties include payroll, accounts payable and receivable, HR, and creating marketing material - among a multitude of other responsibilities. She took over an important position with a lot of varied responsibilities and we hardly missed a beat!

“I really enjoy working with numbers and keeping things organized, but I enjoy the creative side of things as well so my job brings me satisfaction in several areas.”

Anita, also a graduate of Millersville University, lives in Ephrata with her husband Joel, their daughter Ariana, and son Derek.  She enjoys baking, cooking, and playing the piano.

Steve Stuckey – Foreman

Steve has been with Eby Exteriors since 2000, except for a brief time when he returned to his home state of Ohio. As our longest tenured employee, Steve demonstrates a rock-solid work ethic and simply gets the job done. His goal is always to do a great job and get it done efficiently – minimizing the intrusion upon our clients’ lives. While he is experienced in all facets of our work his specialty is siding installation.

“I like getting to know our clients as I work on their homes and I especially enjoy hearing of their satisfaction after we’ve given them a job well done.”

Steve lives in Lancaster with his wife Janet and their daughter Madison. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and following Ohio State Buckeye football.

Shaun Musser – Foreman

Shaun joined us in 2005 and quickly distinguished himself as someone who really cares about what he does. He likes the challenge of a difficult project.

“Seeing an attractive end result to a project is the best part of my job. Thinking through tough challenges and finding a solution that works and looks great is also a pleasure for me!”

Shaun’s focus is leading the window and door installation crew but you’ll also often find him installing fiber cement siding or building a deck.

Shaun and his wife Holly live in Lititz with their dog, Shelby. In his free time Shaun likes playing soccer, drawing, viewing artwork, and tinkering with projects around the house.

Jon Horst – Foreman

Jon, our new roofing foreman, joined us in the spring of 2010. He’s no rookie to the construction business, however, having spent the last 11 years with another company, most of them as a roofing foreman. Jon brings experience in all areas of roofing including shingle, metal, and rubber installation. He’s also skilled in siding installation and framing.

“The most rewarding part of my job is having a satisfied customer and knowing that I’ve done my best on each project.”

Jon enjoys music and all kinds of sports. He and his wife Michelle live in Lancaster with their 3 children Alexia, Mia, and Dylan.

Mike Stoltzfus – Siding, Roofing, Window/Door Installer

Mike’s been with us since 2004. He is a great asset to the company in that his skill set is extremely versatile. Mike has experience in every one of the services we offer so it’s not uncommon to find him on a roof one day, and doing detailed aluminum work on a window project the next. We often turn Mike loose on some of the more challenging parts of a job.

“I especially like the challenge of taking a tough, detailed project and making it look great.”

In his free time Mike enjoys camping, video gaming, and recreational shooting. He and his wife Karin live near New Holland.

Andrew Stauffer - Roofing

Andrew joined our team in 2008 and progressed rapidly to become a solid performer on our roofing crew. He works with all aspects of our roofing projects including shingles, metal, and rubber. Most days you’ll find him on the roof, enjoying the elements as he says,

“The best part of my job is that I get to work outside!”

As the only single guy on our crew, Andrew takes a lot of ribbing from his co-workers! He spends a lot of his free time playing volleyball – a sport at which he excels. He also enjoys reading. Andrew lives in Wernersville.

Mike Bergen – Window/Door, Siding, Decking Installer

Mike moved here from his home country of Canada in 2008 and joined us at that time. While he is relatively new with Eby Exteriors he has many years of experience working with his dad installing windows and sunrooms. His experience and skill set have made him a real asset to our company.

“Working with my hands is what I like to do and my job gives me that opportunity.”

Mike spends most of his days installing windows and doors, but also builds decks and installs siding.

Mike moved here from Canada when he married his wife Alisa (she’s local) and they now live in Lancaster. His hobbies include hunting and shooting, camping, and traveling.
